Foundation soaked into a sponge inside a compact, pressed on with a puff. Amorepacific made the first one, the IOPE Air Cushion, in March 2008, and the category grew from there: by November 2016 the group had sold a hundred million cushions worldwide. Every Korean cosmetics brand makes one now.

Press the puff into the sponge and pat it onto the skin. Do not rub. Shades are numbered on the box; ask for a tester and try it on the jaw. Refills are sold separately.
