올리브영 명동타운 (ol·li·beu·yeong myeong·dong·ta·un) is the drugstore chain's flagship at 명동길 53, open 10:00 to 22:30 every day including holidays. The store's own site maps the two floors: skincare, sun care, sheet masks and dermo-cosmetics on the first, with a seasonal promotion zone and tills; colour cosmetics, fragrance, hair, body, health food and drinks (alcohol included), a Luxe Edit corner for high-end brands and a Global Service Zone with free wifi on the second. Visit Seoul counts 14 concept zones, among them a perfume bar.
Chosun Ilbo wrote on 26 May 2026 that the store runs to about 3,100 square metres, that Olive Young has nine shops in Myeongdong, and that 95% of this one's sales are to foreign customers. The store page lists foreign-language support and WeChat Pay and Alipay at the tills.
Tax refund happens at the till: on a receipt of 15,000 won or more, show your physical passport and the VAT comes off there. For a refund after the fact, the GTF desk on the second floor handles it, passport again required. Paper bags cost 100 won and reusable ones 500 won; gift wrapping runs 1,000 to 2,500 won. There are no lockers, so suitcases come round with you, and no toilets inside; the page points you to the subway station.
명동역 (line 4) exit 8, 356 metres by Visit Seoul's count, or 을지로입구역 (line 2) exit 5. Pick up a basket, test what you like, and have the passport out before you reach the till.
