어니언 성수 (eo·ni·eon seong·su) is at 아차산로9길 8, 132 metres from Seongsu station exit 2, by Visit Seoul's Korean listing. The hours there: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 22:00, weekends 09:00 to 22:00, last order 21:30, open on holidays. The listing says the building went up in the 1970s and was a supermarket, a restaurant, a family home and, until shortly before the café, a metal parts factory.
More about it
About twenty breads and coffee are sold, with the bakery products coming from 브래드05 (beu·rae·deu), a bakery introduced on television as a master of 앙버터 (ang·beo·teo), the red-bean-and-butter bun. The company behind it, 어니언컴퍼니 로스터리, has since opened branches in Anguk, Mia and Myeongdong; Seongsu was the first.
