명동성당 (myeong·dong·seong·dang) is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Seoul. Building began in 1892 and finished in 1898, and Visit Seoul calls it the country's representative Gothic building. 서울사랑, the Seoul city magazine, wrote in June 2023 that it is the largest early Gothic building in modern Korean architecture.
