것ざっくり
롯데면세점 명동본점 (rot·de·myeon·se·jeom myeong·dong·bon·jeom) occupies the top of the Lotte main store at 을지로 30. The Korea Duty Free Shops Association lists it on floors 9 to 12 and open 09:30 to 20:00; Visit Seoul's page on the department store puts the duty-free shop on floors 9 and 10, so the layout may have shifted. The association describes a one-stop set-up with the hotel and department store in the same block.

Duty free is a different system from the tax refund at shop tills: you buy before you fly and the goods are handed over at the airport. The Korea Tourism Organization's tax guide notes that duty-free purchases cannot also claim a tax refund.
