것The deal
언더스탠드에비뉴 (eon·deo·seu·taen·deu·e·bi·nyu) opened on 18 April 2016, according to its own site, as a public-private social contribution project: 116 containers on about 4,126 square metres (about 1,250 pyeong) at the gate of Seoul Forest. The site says about eight million people have visited since, with more than 1.3 million a year, and that the containers give space to young founders with a social purpose and jobs to older and disadvantaged workers.

Seongdong-gu's tourism page lists the address as 왕십리로 63 and describes what is inside: ESG and social venture offices, a retail block, a shared kitchen, co-working space, 카페 서울숲, a snack bar called 서울숲 분식, and a social innovation lab. The site's own map shows an art stand, a central square and an outdoor stage used for events.
