서울숲 (seo·ul·sup) opened in 2005 on 495,868 square metres at 뚝섬로 273, according to Visit Seoul, which lists five themed areas: a culture and arts park, an eco-forest, a wetland centre, a learning park with the insect and butterfly gardens, and a riverside section. The Seoul city park office says the park has no closing day and no entry fee; only the tennis courts charge, 8,000 won for two hours on weekdays.
More about it
The parts with hours are the eco-forest, open 05:30 to 21:30, where the city's own article puts the walkway, the hill called 바람의 언덕 and the deer enclosure; the insect and plant garden, 10:00 to 17:00 from March to October and 10:00 to 16:00 from November to February, closed Mondays; the butterfly garden, 10:00 to 17:00 from May to October; and the visitor centre, 09:00 to 18:00 all year.
The lanes around 서울숲2길 by gate 4 are what the city calls the 성수동 아틀리에길, a run of workshops, cafés and restaurants.
