Autumn leaves, and the weeks spent looking at them. In 2026 the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center waived admission to the four Seoul palaces, Jongmyo and the royal tombs from 29 October to 15 November for the Korea Grand Festival, with the Secret Garden tour excluded and the usual closing days kept: Gyeongbokgung and Jongmyo on Tuesdays, the others on Mondays. Gyeongbokgung’s November hours are 9 to 5, last entry an hour before.

Go at opening on a weekday. Two palaces in an afternoon is the free-entry maths. For a walk under the leaves, the stone wall path from City Hall past Deoksugung.
