남산케이블카 (nam·san·ke·i·beul·ka) leaves from 소파로 83, on the slope above 명동역. Visit Seoul says the ride to the top, where N Seoul Tower stands, takes about three minutes, and that a 140-metre inclined lift called 남산오르미 carries you from street level up to the boarding station. The cars run 10:00 to 23:00 every day, with later running on Friday to Sunday when busy; N Seoul Tower's page lists the 오르미 lift from 09:00 to 23:00 and says both stop in strong wind or heavy rain.
Fares on Visit Seoul: adults 15,000 won return or 12,000 won one way, children 11,500 won return or 9,000 won one way, with a group rate for parties of 30 or more on the operator's site.
N Seoul Tower's page sends you out of 명동역 exit 3 for a ten-minute uphill walk; Visit Seoul lists exit 4 at 571 metres. Either way, follow the signs for the 오르미 lift to the ticket hall.
