것The deal
부루의뜨락 (bu·ru·ui·tteu·rak), music's garden, is at 명동8나길 37-1, 214 metres from 명동역 exit 5. Visit Seoul (updated 17 August 2026) lists it open 10:00 to 22:30 every day and describes the floors: K-pop records and merchandise on the ground floor, jazz and pop CDs on the second, classical LPs on the third and fourth, more than 100,000 records in all, classical the largest share, with rare 1980s and 90s records by Black American musicians turning up. The page calls it the byword for second-hand record shops in Seoul.

Uniqlo's Myeongdong magazine page (May 2026) adds that the shop has been in its current four-storey building since 1995, appeared in the 1997 film 접속 and the 2012 drama 응답하라 1997, and keeps K-pop and drama soundtrack corners on the first two floors stocked with branded goods. Uniqlo's flagship next door made it one of four local names on its UTme! stamp designs (Seoul Shinmun, 19 May 2026).
